With expanding research linking the benefits of yoga for people in recovery from eating disorders, CEED is excited to announce two new yoga series set to begin in January 2014.

Body Kindness Yoga for Eating Disorder Recovery

Body kindness yoga classes provide a safe space for people in eating disorder recovery to practice yoga and inward kindness. Using our breath, movement and awareness we work towards the intention of creating a more positive relationship with ourselves on and off the mat. Our practice is gentle and focused on listening to our internal voice to guide us into the yoga practice that is right for each of us individually.

This series is a good fit for people new to yoga and those who already have a gentle practice. All classes will be closed series to provide safety and continuity to students. Please sign up via email in advance.

*This series is for people with a BMI of 19 or higher and is for adults, ages 18 years old and up.*

Beginning Friday, January 10th and meeting at the UNC Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders, located at UNC Hospital, from 3:15-4:30pm for 10 weeks.
