We are excited to announce a new beginner’s yoga and mindful stretching class at the UNC Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders! Taught by Colie Taico, LCSW, the class will begin August 5th and will meet Mondays from 5:00pm-6:15pm. For more details about this exciting opportunity, please see below.
Gentle Yoga For Body Acceptance
Designed for people who are over their healthy body weight range
A beginner’s yoga and mindful stretching class for women and men who are over their healthy body weight range. In this class we will practice breathing techniques, meditation, mindfulness and gentle stretching to reconnect the heart, mind and body. We will use these techniques to practice riding the waves of emotion that are passing through us all the time and cultivate acceptance, love and appreciation for our bodies.
Teacher: Colie Taico, LCSW
Class will meet for 10 consecutive weeks on Mondays from 5:00-6:15pm,
on the first floor of the UNC Neurosciences Hospital.
Classes begin August 5th, 2013.
Total cost is $120 per person. Registration prior to first class is required.
